My Rating :

What is there to say about You're Next that hasn't already been said in many reviews ever since it's release back in 2011!

This is a terrific home-invasion movie that has a lot of twists and turns throughout.

When the Davison family all get together to try and mend their seemingly broken relationships during a family get-together to celebrate the parents wedding anniversary, they are attacked by a mysterious bunch of intruders wearing strange and creepy masks.

However, the intruders don't take into account that one of their victims is much tougher than she at first looks!

Erin (played by Sharni Vinson) starts to fight back using an all manner of tricks.  From leaving wooden blocks filled with upright nails under the windows to using knives, hot water and a whole other bunch of items at her disposal she soon turns the table on the attackers.

What we also find out is that some of the family members are not what they seem and when Erin overhears one of them admitting to killing his own brother it doesn't take a genius to work out the twist near to the end of the movie.

The cast is strong with Barbara Crampton, A.J Bowen, Sharni Vinson, Ti West and Larry Fessenden to name but a few.

This is without doubt a fine home-invasion movie that never really slow's down.

Some of the scenes are quite shocking on first viewing, notably when Aubrey (Barbara Crampton) is bludgeoned to death in her bed.

Some reviewers say that this movie runs out of ideas as it goes along but I disagree.  It's all about fighting back against intruders and let's be honest - if this was your home wouldn't you try and find ways to protect your family?

It may not be a new movie and it may not offer anything different when it comes to this kind of genre but it's a fun film that keep's you entertained.

I`d give it 3.5 escapes out of 5.
