The Redwood Massacre (2014)

David Ryan Keith (Director, Writer), Lisa Cameron (Actor), Mark Wood (Actor)

What begins as a exciting camping trip to the legendary Redwood murder site, takes a terrifying turn when the innocent campers discover the legend is about to become a nasty and bloody reality.

Quick thoughts (not a review!)
I hate the term low budget when it comes to horror movies (or any movie genre come to think of it) because I feel it kind of undermines a film but I guess it is what it is and The Redwood Massacre is a low budget horror.  That said, it has become one of my favourite go-to movies which I can watch over and over.  Its a throwback to the 80s slasher movies with perhaps Friday the 13th the most obvious if you had to compare them as we find a group of friends who have camped out in the woods whilst trying to find the Redwood house where a family massacre took place years before.  Gore aplenty, a decent story line, a masked killer with an axe and a great filming location makes for an hour and a half of pure entertainment.

Would I recommend it?  Hell yeah!
